What’s New at RWHP
The RWHP has received funding from Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central Florida Affiliate and the American Cancer Society Florida Chapter to broaden Creando Nuestra Salud, our early breast cancer detection project. These funds will be used to train 30 community health workers in Lake and Volusia Counties with our partners Alianza de Mujeres Activas (AMA) in Volusia and the Lake County Community Health Worker Program in Lake.

Florida Early Breast Cancer Detection Fund

The Florida Early Breast Cancer Detection Fund is a fund that assists women of farmworking communities who are in need of breast cancer screenings. This fund was created in partnership with the Harvest of Hope Foundation in response to Creando Nuestra Salud, the RWHP health initiative on breast cancer.
