Current Projects:
Tomando Acción (Taking Action)

Working in collaboration with the Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Florida Legal Services, this new fotonovela series will inform Hispanic women about legal services, assistance and shelter for victims of abuse and how to access these services through the use of the toll-free Hotline. These fotonovelas were developed statewide with members of the Hispanic community.

VIA (Voices of Immigrants in Action /Voces de Inmigrantes en Acción)

The VIA Initiative brings together the grassroots’ voices of Hispanic Immigrants into a communal force. This initiative provides a platform for their unique realities, broadening the regional policy discussions of HIV/AIDS in the Southeast.

Sin Humo (Smoke Free)

Working with churches and daycare centers in Marion County, Florida, the goal of Sin Humo is to inform Hispanic community members about the dangers of tobacco use and to promote tobacco cessation programs. Using interactive workshops and community developed magazines, this project focuses on work with daycare centers and church ministries.
